  • Active-duty military and veterans from any branch of service

  • First responders, including law enforcement, firefighters, and EMTs

How can I nominate someone to be honored?

Each honoree receives the exclusive Gratitude Eagle Medallion package, which includes:

  • A sequentially numbered medal in patriotic Red, White, and Blue

  • A matching challenge coin to carry daily

  • A framed certificate of appreciation(Optional) Invitation to a public recognition ceremony

Does the honoree have to pay? Can I buy a package for someone?

No—honorees never pay to be recognized. Gratitude Eagle Packages cannot be purchased by the honoree themselves. However, friends, family members, or donors are welcome to sponsor or purchase a package on behalf of the honoree. This ensures that every hero can be honored without bearing the financial responsibility.

Can I donate to support the mission?

Yes! Donations can be made securely through our Donation Page. Your support helps cover medallions, certificates, ceremonies, and outreach, ensuring we can honor more heroes across the nation.

Are the ceremonies public or private?

We offer both. Ceremonies can be arranged privately (family/friends only) or publicly at community events, based on the honoree’s wishes.

Do you offer posthumous recognition?

Yes. We proudly honor heroes who have passed away, presenting the medallion and certificate to their loved ones as a lasting tribute.

How can I get involved as a volunteer?

We love welcoming new volunteers! Opportunities include helping at ceremonies, outreach, event planning, and sharing our mission. Visit our Volunteer Page to learn more and sign up.

Where is the Gratitude Professor Foundation located?

Our headquarters is in Tampa, Florida, but we serve heroes nationwide.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Hero Package includes physical items mailed to the honoree (medallion, challenge coin, framed certificate), and may include an in-person or live ceremony.

Virtual Hero Package offers digital recognition only—such as an emailed certificate and inclusion in an online tribute—ideal for honorees in remote locations or when physical delivery isn’t possible.
